After IFK started the match best the Danes took more and more control of the game and after 16 minutes a terrible mistake by central defender Tomas Rogne gave Christian Noergaard the oportunity to set up Teemu Pukki for the first goal. Just after half an hour Tobias Hysen won a duel in the middle of the field and Soren Rieks completed his fine run putting the ball past goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey for the equaliser. One minute from half time Brondby where back in the lead due to a fine strike from Rodolph Austin. In the second half Brondby created a lot of chances but good goalkeeping from Pontus Dahlberg kept the Swedes in the game. With just seconds remaining of the injury time Elias Omarsson grabbed the equalizer and the match went to a penalty shootout. The Swedes scored on all five spot kicks trough Sebastian Olsson, Elias Omarsson, August Erlingmark, Mattias Bjaersby and Emil Salomonsson. Pontus Dahlberg saved the first penalty from Rezan Colru. Rodolph Austin, Gustaf Nilsson and Hjortur Hermansson scored on their penalty kicks but the Sweds turned out as winners.
